Perfect Moments

People talk about waiting for the perfect moment. Even though we also claim to logically know there never is one. What if though, every moment is a perfect moment.

Right now I'm laying on a couch, all I hear is the whir of fans. Out the window it's an overcast summer day. Soft diffused light. The curtains sway so gently it's barely noticeable.
There's nothing special about this moment, it seems deeply peaceful. External peace is hollow if it's not directly contributing to inner peace. Today, even though it's a calm Sunday morning, internally I'm a bit restless. My thoughts tend to run away from me in quiet moments, but maybe it's entirely perfect for what it is.

If we live life with the perspective that every moment is perfect, for what it is. Maybe we can stop waiting.
Even difficult moments, ones of conflict, sorrow, or regret. Hard things reveal who we really are.

Do we stand up for our values? Are we comic relief? Who do we become when things aren't perfect?

Maybe that hardship perfectly demonstrated who we are. Where our strengths lay or a direction we are going in. From that clarity we learn, grow, gain awareness and can choose...
I’ve learned who I am in those moments.
Every moment is perfect when you approach life with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn.
I don't need everything in life to be perfectly aligned before I choose to enjoy it... and if not enjoy it, at least value it.
And let those moments be perfect for what they are.
